CO2Chem Video Prize Competition 2019 – deadline extension

Good news!  The Video Prize Competition deadline has been extended to 12 noon on Thursday 28th November 2019.  Good luck!

We are pleased to publicise that a new science-media prize has been announced for 2019.

The prize will be awarded in two categories for the best short form documentary showing how Carbon Dioxide Utilisation can be used as part of an approach to remove fossil-based carbon from the economy.

This is all part of an effort to reduce and then reverse the harmful effects of climate change.

There will be a £2,000 prize for the best Independent and School-Endorsed entry.

Closing date is 12 noon on Thursday 28th November.

The CO2Chem Winter School – Exploring CO2 Utilisation and the 3rd Annual Status Conference 2019

 

In January 2020 we will be running a co-ordinated week of events from the 20th – 23rd:

  • CO2Chem Winter School – Exploring CO2 Utilisation – 20th to 22nd January 2020
  • CO2Chem Reception and Annual Dinner – 22nd January 2020 (evening)
  • 3rd CO2Chem Annual Status Conference – 23rd January 2020

The CO2Chem Winter School will explore the CO2 Utilisation agenda, including socio-economic and environmental underpinnings, central research challenges and latest drivers, progress and opportunities. The course suits post-graduates and early career researchers.

The CO2Chem Reception and Annual Dinner is an opportunity for meeting and networking with CO2Chem members.  The early evening reception will include addresses from opinion formers representing industry, academia and government.

The CO2Chem Annual Status Conference brings together members of the network to share latest updates and research developments in CO2 Utilisation.

You are warmly welcome to attend any combination.

Venue: all the above events will be held at Sheffield United FC (The 1889 Suite), one of England’s oldest and most renowned stadiums.

CO2Chem Winter School – £150 (students) £200 (non students)

Annual Reception and Dinner – £25

CO2Chem 3rd Annual Status Conference – free

TU Berlin is recruiting a research assistant for the CO2nsistent project.
