From Innovation to Practical Implementation

Under the researcher links scheme offered within the Newton Fund, the British Council will be holding a workshop in Beijing China from 23rd-26th July 2018.

The workshop is being coordinated by Prof C. Hardacre (School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science, University of Manchester, UK) and Prof Xiangping Zhang (Institute of Process engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences), and will have contributions from other leading researchers from the UK and China.

This is a call for applications from early career researcher based in the UK to attend the workshop. All travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the grant. 17 UK based delegates will be selected to join 17 China based delegates in China in July.

Proposed topics to be covered: photocatalysis, electrochemistry, catalysis and process system integration.

ELIGIBILITY: This opportunity is open to early career researchers based in the UK (no restriction on nationality). Early career researchers are defined as holding a PhD and having up to 10 years post-PhD research experience. Consideration will be given to researchers with more than 10 years post-doc experience that have taken extended career breaks.

LOCATION: The workshop will be held in the Institute of Process engineering (IPE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). No.1 Beiertiao Zhongguancun Haidian District, Beijing, China.
