The department has identified the following fields of particular interest – including some with clear relevance to Carbon Dioxide Utilisation.

  • Biological Engineering (focussing on bioprocess engineering or biopharmaceutical engineering to support the Pharmaceutical Engineering programmes)
  • Systems Engineering / Sustainable Engineering (including Energy but relevant to chemical/biological engineering) and
  • Process Safety (to fulfil the ambition of developing excellence in process safety research and education).

Outstanding candidates in other areas of chemical engineering will also be considered.
