The German Ministry for Education and Research invites you to the 5th Status Conference on the funding programme “Technologies for Sustainability and Climate Protection – Chemical Processes and Use of CO2”. The conference will take place on 21 and 22 April 2015 at the “STATION” in Berlin.

The chemical industry is the initial link to a number of value added chains. Increasing production efficiency in this sector will benefit all production processes and products at later stages.
The funding activity thus supports science and industry in developing and testing innovative technologies and processes with the aim of promoting structural change: In the longer term, economic activities must be based on renewable and alternative materials rather than on oil and coal in order to ensure the sustainability of the German economy.

BMBF is providing roughly € 100 million of funding for 33 Research and Development (R&D) projects between 2010 and 2016. 86 industry partners are taking part in the projects including 23 small and medium enterprises. 71 research institutions and universities are also actively involved.

The two days Status Conference will focus on recent advancements in the following three main topics of the funding programme:

  • Chemical CO2 Utilization
  • Chemical Energy Storage
  • Energy Efficient Processes

Be present and benefit from a huge network of experts and join vibrant multidisciplinary discussions!
