Solvents and synthons as building blocks in the chemical industry are important targets for carbon dioxide utilisation. Reducing the reliance of their synthesis on petrochemical feedstocks and changing it to CO2 will ensure a long term stable supply chain.
Do you have an industrial interest or research expertise in producing solvents or synthons from CO2?
If so we invite you to a free workshop to discuss advances in this area, to share views, to identify key scientific & industrial research priorities and to help build UK strengths. The workshop will include opportunities for each attendee to present their company or research.
This is the first meeting of the newly formed Solvent and Synthons Cluster within the CO2Chem network.
The Cluster will meet once per year to discuss the research challenges in the field of carbon capture for CO2 utilisation. The cluster will encourage new collaborations to be formed and current research to be shared.
