On 7th August DECC published a Policy Scoping Document “Next Steps in CCS”. The document summarises the Government’s policy on CCS, and seeks views and evidence on a possible Phase 2 of CCS deployment. It covers the breadth of the CCS policy landscape, including industrial CCS (Section B9, page 41) and carbon capture and utilisation (Section B11, page 48). The full document can be found on our website: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/ccs-policy-scoping-document.

This event held in partnership with DECC will give participants a chance to discuss the scoping document and formulate views and evidence for DECC. We will also discuss overarching priorities for CO2 utilisation. renewable energy integrations, LCA and barriers to  research including  prioritizing funding needs.

This event is free of charge, but attendance must be booked in advance via email to katy.armstrong@sheffield.ac.uk
